Case Study
A
large managed care company with divisions in five states wanted
to establish worksite health promotion programs for their corporate
clients. At their regional meeting, the corporate relations director
announced this initiative and solicited ideas for creating a model
for planning these programs. Feedback from division managers varied
widely with little, if any, consensus on how to design, implement,
and evaluate the proposed programs. She called us to inquire about
creating a planning framework and how to get all stakeholders "on
the same page." We provided a half-day on-site program planning
seminar and provided copies of Worksite Health Promotion for
each of the division manager with an overview of our customized
"Programmatic Diagnosis." Subsequent quarterly meetings
were conducted in which we illustrated how to plan, implement, and
evaluate client-specific programs.
